Where to Play Poker…

The WSOP at the RIO - Big giant astronomical tournament fields from as little as $135, if you can outlast the field you can make big money! The cash games are difficult. Loads of international players, pro’s from all over the country and every jackass donkey who thinks he is the next Phil Ivey…

Planet Hollywood - My favorite place to play cash! Usually tourists who are just enjoying a little poker while the wife is playing slot machines or laying by the pool. A good room to try and win your buy-in for the 3 pm $235 deepstack at the WSOP.

Caesars Palace - Great poker room, usually really good poker players. Extremely competitive!

Aria - Where the big name pros play. If you’ve got $ to gamble and are looking to see how good the upper echelon players really are then get yourself a seat at one of their poker tables.

MGM Grand - A large decent poker room but I have found very solid locals like to grind in this room. So pick your table carefully.

 allvegaspoker.com is a great web site to read about every poker room in Vegas.

We need to agree on when to run over the WSOP!!!

Where to Stay…

The RIO, 800-223-7277, riolasvegas.com - This is the best place to stay because it is where the WSOP is held, no Taxi rides necessary, great pool, and most everything you will need…

Everywhere Else - you can stay at any of the amazing resort casinos for reasonable rates but remember taxi rides cost money & more importantly time! And we are in Vegas for a limited amount to play POKER! And the real big poker is at the RIO…

Where to Eat…

 One of my rules when playing competitive big money poker is to stay nourished! The cafeteria at the WSOP is lame but it serves it’s purpose in a crunch, but a “Baller on a Budget” doesn’t want to spend huge dollars on food every time he feeds himself which means leaving the Casinos. When on a vacation such as this I do like to really enjoy good food. So here are some suggestions;

Pho Kim Long - The best Vietnamese food in Vegas and you can be in and out for $10 to $15 with tip. Every cab driver will know where this place is.

Manta Ramen - This is a Japanese noodle house and it is inexpensive and awesome. Cab drivers will know where this one is also.

Pasta Mia - This is a nice Italian place for dinner. It is not to expensive and the food is amazing! It is just down the street across from the Gold Coast.

Secret Pizza - Lets say you go to the strip and find yourself at the Cosmopolitan and your a bit loaded and all you need is a slice of pizza. Dude your in luck! On the third floor of the Cosmopolitan, down a hallway with record album covers lining the walls. No visible sign or 'name' anywhere! Great pizza…

Now if you do happen to hit it big and you go from a “Baller on a Budget” to a “Highroller” well Vegas has the greatest restaurants in the world.
